Teaching Philosophy

Teaching is and has always been my passion. Everything I learn along the way from my wonderful teachers and professors during my studies, I try to pass on to my amazing students. I have been teaching people of all ages, levels, and backgrounds for over a decade now (which feels crazy!), and I absolutely love it.

I teach privately and have also worked with a charitable organization supporting young children's musical education. Currently, I am an ambassador for the Benedetti Music Foundation, which promotes music education. Music has infused my life with so much joy, love, and fun, opening doors to beautiful opportunities and achievements while also fostering meaningful connections with others.

I tailor my teaching style to meet each student's unique needs and goals and I'm delighted to guide them through ABRSM or Trinity Grades. I am proud to have a 100% pass rate. While working on Grades, I believe in going beyond the exam material and incorporating pieces that inspire and drive my students, ensuring they become skilled musicians. Finding what inspires and drives them is an important part. Motivation is essential, especially when working with very young children (from the age of 4 years old).

I provide all my students with an excellent overall musical education that includes not only playing the instrument but also rhythmic games, musical knowledge—both theoretical and historical—ear training, and improvisation.

In my lessons, I not only address technical and musical challenges but also provide guidance on organising effective practice sessions, how to practice, and how to develop a musical instinct. Learning how to practice effectively is a vital skill, and I place great emphasis on developing this aspect together with my students.

Musically, I'm rooted in classical music, but as I've grown up, I've spent time working as well in ambient music, popular styles and jazz music.

I'm very blessed and happy to receive little videos or feedbacks from my student's parents on how much they enjoy their lessons. The job of witnessing how music can make a positive impact on an individual's life is truly priceless, and I feel very lucky to call this my Profession.

The perfect week for me contains aspects of teaching, composing, producing, and performing-each fulfilling in its own way.

I'm very excited to share my passion and knowledge of music with you and help you embark on a rewarding musical Journey. Together, we can explore the world of music and make it an enriching experience for you.

“Louisa made the lesson really fun at the same time as helping me learn the theory-it was a great first lesson and I’ll definitely be having more lessons."
