Biography
Louisa Grantz, born in Hamburg, Germany, is a talented and accomplished musician known for her exceptional skills as a pianist. With a passion for music from a young age, she has devoted her life to mastering the art of piano performance.

Louisa's musical journey began at the tender age of five under the guidance of Ivone Bambirra, who recognized her potential and nurtured her talent for over a decade until 2018. Louisa received a music scholarship at the age of 15 and furthered her academic pursuits for a year at Dean Close School in Cheltenham. At Dean Close School, she was guided and mentored by the Carducci Quartet in her solo instruments—piano, viola, and violin—and additionally trained in her chamber music skills.

Louisa increasingly specialized in piano performance, pursuing her studies at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where she deepened her musical abilities and passion for music. She was fortunate to learn from esteemed musicians such as Penelope Roskell, Sergio De Simone (former head of the piano department), Mikhail Kazakevich, and Gabriele Baldocci. Her primary teacher was Peter Tuite, the former head of the piano department. Currently, she is under the tutelage of Steinway Artist Alisdair Hogarth. Subsequently, she embarked on a remarkable journey in music production, composing, and songwriting at the London Songwriting Academy. In pursuit of mastering her craft, she enrolled in the Master of Science program in Music, Mind & Brain at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Throughout her musical journey, Louisa participated in numerous orchestras and ensembles. Notably, she performed with the Saitenspiel Jugendorchester, Coole Streicher, Hamburger Camerata Jugendprojekte, Felix-Mendelssohn-Jugendsinfonieorchester, NDR Jugendsinfonieorchester, and The Young ClassX, a prestigious music project of the Otto Group. Her performances graced illustrious venues such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Schloss Bellevue Berlin, BMW World Munich, Rudolfinum-DvoÅ™ák Hall Prague, Teatro alla Scala Milan, Cheltenham Town Hall UK, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Thalia Theater, and more.

Louisa has earned numerous accolades for her remarkable performances. In 2015, she received the 1st Prize with a full 25 points at the Bundeswettbewerb with the piano, the official youth competition of the Federal Republic of Germany. Her dedication and commitment to music were acknowledged when she became a recipient of the prestigious Walter and Charlotte Hamel Foundation scholarship in 2015-2016. Her exceptional talent has also led her to participate in various international masterclasses, including the Oberstdorfer Musiksommer with Barbara Westphal, Naturalmente Pianoforte with Sergio De Simone, Lunigiana Festival with Gabriele Baldocci, and Virtuoso & Belcanto with Till Fellner and Péter Nagy, where she had the opportunity to perform numerous concerts.
